Hibombo (“we”, “our”, “us”) made Riomaker, a free puzzle game supported by ads, with an optional one-time purchase. This page explains, in plain language, what information the app collects and what it doesn’t.

The short version

• Riomaker is free to start. After the first rivers you choose: buy the full game once, or keep playing for free with an ad now and then.
• Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
• We never ask for your name, email, or a password. There is no Riomaker account and nothing to sign up for.
• Your progress is saved on your device.
• If you use Apple’s Game Center, the achievements you unlock are also saved to your Game Center account.
• Three services receive limited data: Apple Game Center (achievements), Google AdMob (ads) and GameAnalytics (to understand how the game is played, so we can make it better). If you buy the full game, Apple handles the purchase.
• We don’t track you across other apps.

What stays on your device

Your progress, settings, and preferences are saved on your device using standard iOS storage. This information never leaves your phone and we can’t see it. You can erase it at any time using the Restart option in the game’s settings, or by deleting the app.

The one exception is Game Center achievements, described next.

What the app collects, and who sees it

Riomaker doesn’t run its own servers. Three third-party services are involved, plus Apple’s App Store if you make a purchase.

Achievements — Apple Game Center

Riomaker has an island of achievements you fill in as you play. The island itself is stored on your device. If you are signed in to Game Center, the achievements you unlock are also reported to Apple, so they appear on your Game Center profile.

• We never ask you to sign in. Riomaker doesn’t show a Game Center login prompt. If you’re already signed in on your device, the game connects automatically; if you’re not, nothing happens and the game works exactly the same.
• What is sent: which achievements you have unlocked. That’s all. No scores, no leaderboards, no friends list.
• This part is not anonymous. It is tied to your Game Center account, which is your Apple Account. Apple handles that data under the Apple Privacy Policy.
• To turn it off: sign out of Game Center in your device settings (Settings → Game Center). The game keeps working, and your island stays on your device.

Ads — Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to show ads. There are two kinds:

• Rewarded ads, which you choose to watch. You tap a button to earn an in-game gift or hearts. They are available to everyone, including players who bought the full game.
• Full-screen ads, only if you choose to play with ads. After the first rivers you choose between buying the full game and playing on for free with ads. If you choose ads, a full-screen ad may appear at a natural break: after a completed river or whirlpool, at most once every few minutes, never in the middle of play. Buying the full game removes them for good.

Ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences.

To serve them, AdMob may automatically collect:

• A device advertising identifier
• Your IP address
• Your general location (country or region level)
• Information about how you interact with the ads

We do not ask permission to track you across other apps and websites, and the ads you see are not personalised based on that kind of cross-app tracking. For details on how Google handles this data, see the Google Privacy Policy.

Purchases — Apple App Store

Riomaker offers one optional in-app purchase: the full game, bought once. The purchase is made and paid for through Apple’s App Store.

• We never see your payment details. Apple handles payment, receipts and refunds.
• What the app learns: only whether the full game has been bought on your Apple Account, so it can stop showing full-screen ads. If you downloaded Riomaker before purchases existed, the app checks with Apple when you first downloaded it, and you keep the full game for free.
• Restore: if you reinstall or change device, Restore purchase asks Apple for your purchase again. Nothing about it is sent to us or to the other services on this page.
• Apple handles this data under the Apple Privacy Policy.

Analytics — GameAnalytics

We use GameAnalytics to understand how players experience the game — for example, which levels are too hard, or where people stop playing — so we can improve it. GameAnalytics collects anonymous, aggregated data, which may include:

• An anonymous device/install identifier (a random ID, not linked to your identity)
• Your device type and operating system version
• Your general location (country or region level)
• Gameplay events — for example rivers completed or failed, how long your sessions last, in-game actions such as using a gift, and when an ad is shown

This data is not linked to your name or any account, and is not used to track you across other apps. For details, see the GameAnalytics Privacy Policy.

What we do NOT collect

• We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.
• We do not offer or require a Riomaker account, and there is nothing to log in to.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not share it with anyone beyond the services described above.

Your choices

• Ads: rewarded ads only play when you tap to watch one. Full-screen ads only appear if you choose to play with ads, and buying the full game removes them (Remove Ads in the game’s settings). You can also limit ad personalisation in your device settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising).
• Game Center: sign out of Game Center in Settings → Game Center and nothing further is reported.
• Game data: use Restart in the game’s settings to erase your local progress.
• Stop all collection: deleting the app stops any further data collection.

If you’re in the EU/EEA or UK

Before Riomaker requests a single ad, you are asked for your consent through Google’s certified consent dialog. If you decline, that choice is respected for ad personalisation. The dialog appears the first time it is required, and your answer is remembered by Google’s consent framework.

The data we collect through AdMob and GameAnalytics is anonymous and not linked to your identity, so in most cases we cannot connect it back to a specific person. Game Center data is handled by Apple under Apple’s own policy, linked above.

Where applicable data protection law gives you rights — such as the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to its processing — you can contact us at the address below and we will do what we can to help. Hibombo, based in Sweden, is the data controller for Riomaker.

Children’s privacy

Riomaker is a general audience game and is not directed to children under 13. Its App Store age rating is 4+, which means the game contains no objectionable content. It is not a statement that the game is aimed at young children, and Riomaker is not published in the App Store’s Kids Category.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Data retention

We do not keep any personal data on our own systems, because we don’t collect it.

• Game progress lives on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app or use Restart.
• Game Center achievements are kept by Apple on your Game Center account. They are not removed by Restart or by deleting the app, because they belong to your Apple Account rather than to us. Apple’s own settings control them.
• Purchases are recorded by Apple on your Apple Account, so you can restore them.
• Anonymous analytics and advertising data is retained by GameAnalytics and Google AdMob according to their own retention policies, linked above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a new “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review it occasionally.
